Jesus Domitila Giron Barrios

Jesus Domitila Giron Barrios 77 of Providence died peacefully on February 22, 2026, at the Philip Hulitar Hope Hospice Center.  Ms. Giron was born on February 17, 1949, in San Pedro Jocopilas, Guatemala. 

Ms. Giron was a churching going Chirstian of deep faith.  People loved speaking with her and hearing her stories.  She was graceful and beautiful with a sense of style and fashion.  Her beloved family was showered with love and will always remember the force of nature Jesus could be when the moment called for it.  Her beauty and strong will are characteristics that have left their mark and the lessons she taught will always be remembered. 

Jesus Domitila Giron Barrios is survived by her daughters, Magda L. Meza of Woonsocket and Freddie Meza of Guatemala and her sons, Edgar Meza of Providence and Walter Meza of Guatemala.  Jesus was a proud grandmother of 11 and a great grandmother of 5.  She was the beloved sister to 8 siblings. 

Visiting Hours to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend will be held 6-9pm on Wednesday March 4th in the Charles Coelho Funeral Home 151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI 02863.  Burial will take place in Quiche, Guatemala.

Jesús Domitila Girón Barrios, de 77 años, de Providence, falleció pacíficamente el 22 de febrero de 2026 en el Philip Hulitar Hope Hospice Center.  La Sra. Girón nació el 17 de febrero de 1949 en San Pedro Jocopilas, Guatemala. 

La señora Giron era una cristiana de profunda fe y religiosa.  A la gente le encantaba hablar con ella y escuchar sus historias.  Era elegante y hermosa, con un sentido del estilo y la moda.  Su querida familia fue llena de amor y siempre recordará la fuerza de la naturaleza que Jesús podía ser cuando el momento lo requería.  Su belleza y fuerte voluntad son características que han dejado huella y las lecciones que enseñó siempre serán recordadas. 

Jesús Domitila Girón Barrios deja en vida a sus hijas, Magda L. Meza de Woonsocket y Freddie Meza de Guatemala, así como a sus hijos Edgar Meza de Providence y Walter Meza de Guatemala.  Jesús fue una orgullosa abuela de 11 hijos y bisabuela de 5.  Era la hermana querida de 8 hermanos. 

Las horas de visita, a las que familiares y amigos están cordialmente invitados a asistir, se celebrarán de 18:00 a 21:00 horas el miércoles 4 de marzo en la funeraria Charles Coelho, 151 Cross St. Central Falls, RI 02863.  El entierro tendrá lugar en Quiche, Guatemala.
